Canoe City Paddle, May 16
If anyone wants to go, I'm going paddling in a new kayak I bought this Sunday, May 16 at Canoe City Park in Leavittsburg, where we have the annual Chilli Run. I'll launch at noon. Plan on paddling up into Eagle Creek & doing that , then swing out & paddle up the Mahoning too. E-mail me or show up as I'm definitely going & supposed to be a good day. Need to work on the tan, lol.

I think I might go ahead meet you at noon at canoe city.
Would you be interested to meeting there, than one of us can drive up to the labrae baseball fields, and go down to canoe city. It take a hair under two hours. That section is part of my run in june. It is very calm and very pretty. mike danko 330-847-9741 ps I will be at the grand river today 5-15-10 |

Met Mike & we took the boats up to "the Center of the World" for a paddle down the Mahoning, then up Eagle Creek & back out to the Mahoning down to Canoe City. Perfect day out with lots of sun and mild temps. Got my first outing in the Perception . River had alot of ducks, a beaver, hawks, birds and some strange wildlife. Oops, that wasn't wildlife but a herd of cattle who wander over to river edge to snoop on us. Then a stable of 4 goats we could hear off in the distance until we got up close & then they came running to the fence line at river edge. Three hour paddle & an enjoyable day.
