Default Moonlight Paddle

MoonLight Paddle-Lake Milton/Mahoning River
Trip Leader-Mike Danko
When-Saturday July 20th
Where- Pointview Park -17298 Pointview Rd Lake Milton, OH 44429
GPS 41.082572106780205, -80.98073970045513
Length About 5 Miles
Time 9:30 PM
Moon Rise is 9pm

We will be heading back to pointview park for this great traditional paddle. We will put-in on Lake Milton then paddle up the lake past Carson's Landing where it turns back into the Mahoning River. We will paddle up stream and then turn back for a nice and easy trip. It's always a fun challenge to see how close we can get to Berlin Reservoir Dam before we have to turn around. On average it is about a five mile paddle.

Bring lights/glow sticks to light up your boat and a red head lamp is always a great thing to have on for other boaters. Please post on website if you plan on attending
Thank You
PS Due to my work schedule making me work Saturday morning is why I moved from Friday night to Saturday night.

We had 4 midnight raiders make the trek up and back for the moonlight paddle.
Brian, Dave, Ray and myself paddled 2 kayaks and 1 canoe.
We paddled 5.45 miles and the moon was just perfect as it gave us enough light to see our way.
The water was like glass with no wind and temps in the lower 70's upper 60's.
It was a picture perfect night for a great paddle.
