Default Saturday?

I too think 70's and Sunny on Saturday dictates a paddle somewhere. West fork of Beaver Creek sounds interesting Johnathan. Surprised we haven't heard from VP Mike.

I'm game saturday for the west fork of the Little beaver. I have no idea of where to put-in. Anybody of any suggestions?

Unless brad would prefer conneaut creek. It is about 1.7ft
and the little beaver is at 5.3ft

Several possible put ins for West Fork of Little Beaver in order from upstream to downstream

1. Route 164 in Gavers. Shoulder parking. Not sure whether the land is posted as private property.

2. Stuebenville Pike Road south of Lisbon. County park board has a small lot there for parking and a small access site to the creek.

3. By the old power plant in the village of West Point.

If you paddle below West Point say down to the state park, there is supposed to be a dam after a pair of transmission lines cross the creek.

Here's a link to the Western PA canoe guide: http://www.canoedraft.shaw-weil.com/...est%20Fork.php
Guide says that 4.3 on the East Liverpool gage is a minimum level.

Watch out for strainers. It's a fairly narrow creek. You may want to check with Jerry to see if he paddled it today and what conditions are.

Have fun. Will be eager to hear what it's like.

I just talked to Jerry and they will be running it around 10:30. It's going let me know if there are any "OH SHITS".

So who's all going and what time would you like to go?

I would love to go out this weekend, but I am working saturday until Noon in Y-town.
Would love to try the west fork, or conneuat creek. Sunday is always good for me as well.

The Mahoning is up, but all the play spots are cover in the Y-town run, so it would be a quick ride, but flatt

Does anyone have a problem meeting up at 1:30 at John paul's location of route 164 in gavers. I'll post directions in a little bit. This way Mike can go too. Let me know.

So far we have Bob, Brad, Me, Mike as possible.

Pull out would be at the State park which I think is 10 miles. I'm checking, but we can go further if anyone wants too.

Ok after mapping it out Gavers to the state park is around 16 miles. I think that is a little far. So, I say we go Stuebenville Pike Road south of Lisbon to the state park. Here's location of put in.
