April 18th - The West Middlesex Run

Few floats include what the Shenango River has to offer. We will start below the West Middlesex Bridge and float to the Pulaski Bridge. Wildlife, from eagles to mink, has been seen on this stretch. Starting time is 10:00am and end with a meal in Pulaski. Please check our website the day before for last minute posts on water level.
When: Saturday, April 18th Start time:
10:00am
Where: Below the E. Main Street Bridge in West Middlesex Pa.
Directions: Take Interstate 80 east into Pa. to the Exit 4a, go south on Rt. 60 to Rt318 exit, turn right, go 1.3 miles over the bridge, make a left on Bedford Road, then a quick left on Penn. Ave, follow to The Access Area

It is going to be 72 and sunny, the water level is fine. Hope to see everyone tomorrow.

What a beautiful day! Fourteen boats paddled and enjoyed each other?s company as we floated down the river. We enjoyed lunch alongside the rocky shore. One unintentional swimmer tested the water temperature, advising us to stay in our boats. Some extended the trip four more miles, which included running the rapids below Pulaski Bridge. Thanks to Ed and to all who helped in the shuttles. See everyone on the next adventure.
