Thanks Mike
A BIG Thanks to Mike for an excellent trip choice. Great trip, beautiful weather, and a terrific group of paddlers. can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday at the end of October.

I second that and throw in a special thanks to Stan (once again) who helped me out of a situation (flat tire). Great group of people here!

Kudos and thanks to Mike for a great day on the river, proving that all my hand wringing about the water level was for naught. A few pictures from the trip are posted in User Albums.

Thanks to everyone for showing up, and we missed everyone who couldn't
Aaron, great pictures and video clip. Glad to see you make it down from cleveland to join us on a great trip. Hope to see you on more trips. ALso give a big thanks to Chuck Miller who help with the trip. My follow up article. Oct 24 we did the Mahoning River from Loweville to Covert Rd by edinburg PA. What a great paddle, we had 21 boats ( 18 Kayaks, 3 Canoes) I was so surprised by the turn out and the perfect weather. Which was 70 degree's and sunny. We had fun with the shuttle where Ed got lost and the people who were falling him, but they did find there way to the take out. Once that was done we started a great paddle down stream were we had some small little rapids with a good current, that lead us to a trestle that was cleared by Chuck Miller & Sunny. From there we ran into some four wheelers along the shore and watched them go across the river after we past. Then we ran into a ranger from shore that surprised us all and was checking life vest as we past, but he only called out Ed to make sure it was in the boat with him. We also ran into other kayakers going up stream and we told them about the club as we passed them. After lunch some of us played in a great rapid and the went down river and found the Bald Eagles nest. Once we took out and was loading up the Bald Eagle did a fly by over head and it was a great surprise for everyone there. The total trip time with lunch was around 4 hours. Got in the water around 1pm and pulled out around 5 pm Great Trip and Turn out. Thanks to all who showed up and helped with shuttles Mike Danko & Chuck Miller |
