June 8th Mahoning River

- Mahoning River - Girard to the B&O Station in Youngstown Ohio.

Date & Time ? June 8th 10:30 at the B & O 530 Mahoning Ave Youngstown Ohio

Trumbull Canoe Trail will lead the trip from Girard to the B&O Station on the Mahoning River. We will be joined by the Friends of the Mahoning as part of are partnership with river fest.
On this trip the General public is also welcomed if the have there own equipment and sigh our waiver.
This is a nice trip about 7 miles with some riffles and flat water. We will have one Mandatory Portage around the Division Street dam. It isn?t a bad portage, compared to other I have done.

I would like to have several TCT Members up front so others can follow and at lease two of our Senior Members in the back to help if we are needed.
Pack a lunch for a nice paddle on a different section of the Mahoning River

Mike, Our group will be attending. We should have 6 kayaks and a canoe on the water. One newbie.

So, the forecast isn't looking good for today. What is everyone thinking? Still show up?

Due to the rain and radar looked like at the time, we cancelled the trip for safety reasons.

Don Rex and Joel Beeghley would like to reschedule the trip.

I just saw a Friends of Mahoning River Facebook post that said it's been "tentatively rescheduled" for June 29 at 10:30.
