June 29th Mahoning Rescheduled

Mahoning River - Girard to the B&O Station in Youngstown Ohio.

Date & Time ? June 29th 10:30 at the B & O 530 Mahoning Ave Youngstown Ohio

Trumbull Canoe Trail will lead the trip from Girard to the B&O Station on the Mahoning River. We will be joined by the Friends of the Mahoning as part of are partnership with river fest.
On this trip the General public is also welcomed if the have there own equipment and sigh our waiver.
This is a nice trip about 7 miles with some riffles and flat water. We will have one Mandatory Portage around the Division Street dam. It isn?t a bad portage, compared to other I have done.

I would like to have several TCT Members up front so others can follow and at lease two of our Senior Members in the back to help if we are needed.
Pack a lunch for a nice paddle on a different section of the Mahoning River

Just to be sure... we're meeting at the B&O station, not at the put-in in Girard correct?

That is correct, we will meet at the B & O, long as the water level drops. If it is to high on sunday I will call it off for safety of new or little experince paddlers.

on 6-25 12pm west ave USGS is 6.7ft (To High for newer paddlers)

If you have to cancel this, encourage people to come over to the previously scheduled trip at Lake Wilhelm. We went last year, and it's really beautiful!

Tonight June 27th Jessica and I are going to paddle this section to make sure all is clear and no major hazzard are present.
Not sure what time we will start as I am working in Cleveland.

I was unable to make it home in time to do a scout run. I did get a call from Brandon who works for the Warren Tribune Chronicle.
They want to do a story about Sundays paddle.
It would be nice to have a big turn out from the club. So I hope everyone who can come please come for a nice paddle.
