Canoe & Kayak race

Seen this in a PA. travel magazine.
Cameron County Canoe and Kayak Classic will take place on April 4, 2015. It's a 12 mile race on the Driftwood Branch of the Sinnemahoning Creek which is near Emporium Pa (about 3hours from here). It's the largest down river event in Pa. and was named PA Wilds Event of the Year in 2014.Whoa!! Many categories, all paddlers welcome. See CanoeClassic.org or call 814-546-2011 for more info.
I don't think I'll be competing in this due to the fact I'm at the peak of un-fitness right now. Low temperatures and high level of craft beer consumption have left me a little...slower moving.

One of these years, wouldn't it be great to have the first annual Steel City Downriver Race from B&O Station to Lowellville???...tie it in with RiverFest and make it a big party.
