Default Attachments to a message no longer works

FYI...

The ability to attach a photo or pdf file in the body of a message (the little paper clip at the top line) no longer works. The "manage attachment" dialog that pops up fails to download any file you select. I checked a few old messages that had attachments and those attachments are also gone.

On the plus side... the "depreciated" messages we were getting after last week's outage seem to have disappeared today. Thank You to our Webmaster Dustin.

KenM

edit... Just got another "depreciated" page.

I'll be working on moving the site to another server this week and updating some code. The web host has been making some updates that are starting to make some of the site not work correctly.

Try an attachment now to see if it is working. You should also be able to see older attachments again.

Looks like it works again. This makes it easy to add a quick photo or map.

Thanks Dustin.

========Well maybe... When I log out I see a small white box. Let me try again.

hummmm...... I can't see it whether I am logged in or not.

This was just a bit over the 97.7kb limit (138kb?) 640 x 480
Not sure if that is the problem.

I will try to get it under 97.7kb kinda tough. I'm not sure any program I have will take it that small. Must explore.

ps I could see photos added to an old post.

Default Success !

Photos MUST be under the 97.7 kb size. There is no automatic sizing down for attachments. I had to really squash down the size and quality of the photo to get it that small which made for a very low res photo. There may be a better way than how I did it.

PDF's... Looks like they work. FWIW, when clicked on you would need to download the file to view as the website cannot "read" them directly. Still good for posting a map.

Thanks again Dustin.

I can change some settings for image size. Let me look into it and I'll have you try again

Default Adding a new album does not work

Just to let you know....

I tried to add a new album for Presque Isle.

1) I tried to add a large size photo but it would not resize it and failed.
2) I reduced size to under 60kb, failed. Size was over 600 pixels (640)
3) I then reduced to 600 pixels max. Photo seems to download but are blank on the album page.

I CAN view photos on older albums.
