Thanks for posting the link to the article, Ray. Any other members who have paddled the Mahoning through Youngstown should do themselves a favor and read the article.

Default Mahoning trip on the 4th is cancelled

Do to the high water risk we are going to cancel the mahoning trip on sunday. We will be doing an alternative paddle on Sunday for anyone who wants to come along on the little beaver creek .

See information about little beaver creek trip here.

What A way to end October and start November with more rain than we could wish for. I think it made up for the lack of rain this past summer. Now all the rivers are up, but so many are now too high and very risky.

With that said I sorry to inform everyone that Sunday’s paddle on the Mahoning River is CANCELLED. Chuck Miller went and looked at it and said it is higher than he as ever paddled it. After talking to Jonathan & Chuck we came to the decision to cancel for the safety of the members. Not to worry we still have the 3rd to paddle.

What about doing the Mahoning River on Nov. 11 this Sunday, perdicted temp is 69 and the river level is normal, I know Chuck has done alot of work on the river to make it paddleable. And I am off work and can come.
