Eagle Creek

Thinking of doing Eagle Creek this Sat. Short notice, but if you are interested let me know.

Probably go to Canoe City Park in Leavittsburg to launch and paddle up the Mahoning R. to Eagle Creek and then up it a ways. About noon.

Need to work on my tan as a trip to the ocean is coming up, lol !!

Two of us had a 3+ hour paddle on the Mahoning R. & Eagle Creek today. Perfect day out and we had a nice breeze. Lots of ducks out. We only encountered one canoe, so we had the place pretty much to ourselves. Lily pads are about to bloom and we had tons of a flowering shrubs everywhere that emitted a sweet smell. Almost like perfume. Great stuff.

The concessionaire is closed at Canoe City Park. Didn't open this year. And met a guy & his wife at the park who may join the club & paddle with us.

Going to do some more unoffical runs this year. I'll post a notice a few days before if anyone wants to come along again on a different trip.
