TCT Facebook?
Who manages our FB page. It seems to be way out of date and needs some attention. As I find myself wasting too much time on FB, I would be willing to freshen it up a bit with some more up-to-date content.

Do we really need FB?
Not sure who set it up, but other than larger image size for photos and not needing to maintain a server, I don't see the advantage of a FB page. For trips, I think it's important to rely only on one site for trip status updates. Plus, there are probably a considerable number of club members who are not on FB. Just my $0.02.

Double the $0.02 to $0.04....I agree with JP. Keep it simple and on this website.

I don't disagree that the club web page should be the main site for members to gain trip & club info. This web page is well designed and user friendly.
I obviously don't know who created the FB page, but I think having an up-to-date social media presence can be good for recruitment of new members. Every once-in-a-while I look at the TCT FB page while browsing other stuff on FB, and our FB page hasn't had a new posting since August 2013. |
