Conneaut Creek
I would enjoy the Mahoning tomorrow, but I see Conneaut creek is running at a nice level of 2.47 on usgs and it is really rare to be able to paddle it this late in may.
It has been such a long time since I paddled it and Jess has never done it. Since I am at her place in Geauga County it isn't that far from here. We will be at the State Rd Cover Bridge (GPS 41.886450, -80.620657)s at Noon if anyone would like to come. I hope everyone has a good trip on any river anyone does. Mike Danko 330-766-3129 in case anyone need to get hold of me. |

Jess & I did the conneaut creek from State rd to Creek rd which is 9.7 miles. Level was 2.5 USGS, at this level we make it in two hours.
Lots of class 1 rapids and one class II. We saw several bald eagles, turkey buzzards, ducks, geese, and a beaver. I am truly amazed how pretty this section is. Mike ps will post pictures and video's soon |
