McQuiston Boat Launch to Millennium Boat Launch

When- Sunday March 20th
Time- 12 noon
Where-1071 Nashua Road, Edinburgh, PA 16116

This is a brand new paddle for all of us. The McQuiston Boat Launch was built in September of 2015. We will be going 4 miles down river to the Millennium Boat Launch by New Castle PA.

Direction to Put in from St Rt 422 From Ohio
422 east to Matthews Rd
Turn Left on to Matthews RD
Follow Matthews Rd to a fork in the Road
At fork make a slight right turn and it turns into Garner RD
Follow Garner Rd about 2.2 Miles
Turn Right on To Nashau Rd

What a great trip, Yes it was a little Chilly out but we all stayed warm.

Nine brave paddlers showed up. 4 Canoes & 4 Kayaks (But one canoe had two Paddlers-Canoes Win) Bruce & Diane, Jim Bozdog, Ron Ells & Myself Canoed. Jessica, Wayne, Stan & Jason kayaked.

The new launch is Great, and easy to use. The take out at Millennium is just as nice.
We paddled a little over 4 miles under two hours with one portage due to down tree.
Everyone worked together to make the portage easy.

A great first TCT trip of 2016

I highly recommend this section of the Shenango River
