Default Favorite club runs?

With the planning meeting for this season's trips coming up on the 17th, it might be fun and interesting to find out members' favorite club runs. Here are my favorites since joining TCT in late 2008.

1. Little Beaver Creek, Sprucevale to Ohio River. Nice combination of rapids, remoteness, and great scenery.

2. Grand River, Harpersfield to Hidden Valley Park. Rapids, hardly any stream-side development, and interesting and beautiful rock formations.

3. French Creek, Utica to Franklin. Many islands to explore different channels and beautiful stands of floodplain ferns.

4. Allegheny River, Foxburg Run. Large, powerful river, plus jumping from the old railroad bridge into the mouth of the Clarion can't be beat for a summer paddle.

5. Lower Mahoning, Lowellville to Edinburg. The weather for the couple of autumn trips on this section was superb.

Default favorite club runs

Not going to list six runs like you guy's, but a run that could be done, that includes an overnight at a campground like the "buckaloons trip" which is always a favorite, is highlighted with campfire, and group cookout the night before the run.

How about an August or July Trip on the Allegheny from Tionesta to Oil City; this stretch is designated both wild and scenic is approximatly 19 miles long but feels more like 10 like our usual events. The Army Corp of Engineers has a great campgrounds in Tionesta that includes a "Group Camping" area below Tionesta Lake. Being controlled by dams, the Allegheny is always a safe choice mid-summer as water level elswhere can be suspect. I'll even throw my hat in to Leed this one if Rich and Patty can't do "Buckaloons". Also if requested, would be up to the "lunch-on-the-Grand" trip again this year!
