Default Swiftwater Rescue Class

TCT,

I realize this would be a long shot for TCT members to attend due to the distance, but I wanted to call your attention to a swiftwater rescue class the weekend of July 18 and 19th conducted by the Monocacy Canoe Club (MCC) out of Frederick, Maryland. Though preference would given to MCC members, the instructor may be open to allowing members of other paddling clubs to attend if there is space available. I've taken a couple of these classes over the years, and found them extremely valuable and worthwhile.

I'll be driving thru on my way to Ocean City,Md then. As many in the club know, I almost need my butt "saved" once a season !! LOL !!

And JP, I remembered the river over there that I wanted to explore -- the Pokomoke River south of Salisbury. Flows into the Chessy Bay.

That's one river I never paddled in all my time in DC, but should be fun to paddle the Pocomoke, Alan?black water and cypress swamps in the upper reaches....Will be eager to hear about it. Have fun in OC.
