On Sunday Jessica & I scouted the trip for Sunday. Very happy to say it is all passable. There are spots were it is one boat at a time, but all the work we did in may has really paid off.
We hit the water about 12:30 and got out at little before 3pm. It was a very scenic paddle as we saw , 6 deer, three hawks and 2 Bald Eagles in this section. Hope for a nice turn out next Sunday. See ya on the water Mike Danko |

Cancelled
CANCELLED
I hate to do this, but after looking at radar and knowing the time of year I don't want to see any one get sick. I am sorry to do so but I want everyone to be ok and enjoy the paddle instead of fighting the rain. MIke Danko Last edited by mfdanko99; 11-17-2013 at 07:27 AM. |

Well I feel like a dope. It is a little before 2pm and it barely has rained in Warren, it all went farther east in to PA. Sorry, Radar showed it over Newton Falls, and now it isn't/ My kind of Luck

If you had not cancelled the trip we would have undoubtedly experienced monsoon rains. You made the correct choice, it is always wise to err on the side of caution, especially when the safety of others is involved.

I had failed to check the site before leaving this morning and only found out the paddle had been cancelled after arriving at Foster park and seeing only one other individual (Ron Eells) there. He and I decided since it wasn't raining that we would set up our shuttle and paddle anyway, and I am quite glad we did. It turned out to be an awesome day, not a drop of rain touched us till after we had finished (about 2:30ish) when we were on the drive home... I understand cancelling for the greater concern of all, thats fine, but I'm sorry to say you all missed out on a great day on the water !!
