Default Great Paddle

The Foxburg day trip went better than I could ever hope for. Easy shuttle once we all dropped off our gear in Emlenton. Once we hit the water we had 15 boats (2 canoes & 13 Kayaks) for a total of 18 people and 1 super K9.

We got to foxburg a little early, but they already had a section for us outside and be got served right away. Had a nice surprise at lunch as Brad and his wife came down from Erie PA to eat with us. It was nice to see Brad and get to talk to him.

After lunch and walking around town some of us got a surprise when Steve was talking to a local lady and she let us try her paddle boards. Steve, Matt, Rogue, Kelly, Jess, Simon and myself tried them. I was the first to lose my balance and fall in, then Matt and Kelly. Matt tried to get rogue to fall but she out smarted once then the second time he got her in.

Right after lunch we ran into fell TCT member Kelly from Medina as she was paddle with her friends.

From there we went down to our beach area at the mouth of the clarion river and swam around and jumped of the bridge abutment for about an hour to hour & half.

After that a nice paddle down to parker.

Thank to all who came and a special thank you for Matt Brady & Rogue making the trek from Harrisonburg VA. But someone else was on the paddle who traveled even farther. Jess's best friend Kelly joined us from the Baltimore MD area.

Great day, great food and great company!!

The trip was a lot of fun. The water was crystal clear. It was a scenic ride with some nice homes along the shores. Lunch was good as well. But the highlight for me and the kids was probably swimming, (and jumping) in the river. Looking forward to doing it again next year.
