Hand Powered Boat Registrations
If you live in Ohio you must have a current watercraft registration for your hand powered craft. States have a reciprocation agreement about boat registrations so if you go to PA or any other state (or Canada) you are good.
If you live in PA and chose not to have your hand powered craft registered you can still come to Ohio and paddle BUT per Ohio Watercraft website..... "If your boat is not required to be registered in your state of residence, then you need to carry proof of residency with you." |

Permit for Moraine states park
Just got off the phone with the office at Moraine. Ohio hand powered don't need an additional permit. Suspect that it is the same at Shenango. What threw me off is that my brother in law who is a Pa resident needs a launch permit at Moraine. As I remember PA canoes and Kayaks do not require a permit for most other rivers or lakes.
