Mahoning River June 12: 2 Runs

As of June 9, 10 pm, we have decided to postpone this trip from Mill Creek and the second run (or trip) from Struthers to June 19 due to unsafe high flow. We will post details next week by Thursday. Chuck Miller and Ray Novatny agree.

We will probably combine these two runs. Start time is still 10am at the B&O Station. A shuttle in between the 2 runs is very short and should be quick. Expect to finish by 3pm.

Mill Creek launch: Meet at B&O Station parking lot 10am.

Struthers Run launch: Meet in parking lot about 12:30 or 1pm. - "west" or upstream" of Mah. River bridge on Bridge St See adjacent large concrete wastewater basins. Also see adjacent B. Cene baseball fields.

If your coming with me then let me know and I can bring my big trailer to haul most of the boats back to the start area. I have been kayaking this section alot lately so everything looks great.

Suggest checking in with the trip leader. When I spoke to him early in the week, he figured on paddling to Edinburg, PA, and estimated distance was 13 miles.

Just saw the notice at the top of this thread (guess that the original message was changed) that both trips are postponed until the 19th.....
