Default Tandem Kayak Advice

I am looking for advice on what to look for before purchasing a tandem kayak. I plan on using it for paddling instruction with my granddaughters.
Thanks, Bob K.

Jodi & I paddled a tandem when we first started out. We still have it. It's a Pelican, and it's made of HDPE, and it is a heavy boat. If I was to buy a new one, I would spend a lil more to get lighter weight. It's a real PITA to lift up on the car or carry any distance. I've used it with my nephews, and it came in handy for a over-night trip I did. I was able to load the front with all my gear.

You're welcome to give it a try if ya like. You could take it where ever, but if ya want to bring the kiddos along you could pick it up and take them to Raccoon Creek SP Lake or North Park Lake; both are not far from our house and both have nice calm waters with other amenities near-by.
