Default Thanks Jessica

Great day! Good to get out and get some exercise and sun. Thanks to both Mike and Ken who took their time and helped out in changing my tire.

Default Headwaters Park Photos

What a great day for a November paddle. Sunny, temp in mid 50's and only a slight breeze. And even with most of the leaves down there was some nice subtle fall colors. I was surprised that the reservoir was several feet lower than normal due to a lack of precipitation. Even at that, it really didn't detract from the paddle ... the lake was just a bit smaller. Jessica picked a great day.

We paddled 4.5 miles and were on the water for about 2-1/4 hours.

ps... I added a few photos

Default A week later.....

Looking out the window Sunday Nov 20 9:30am ..... 30 degrees, 2-3" of snow, wind 15-20+ mph. I'm glad Jessica didn't pick THIS weekend for a paddle !!

Thanks for everyone who came out to enjoy the day at Headwaters Park with us. We had beautiful weather especially for a Mid-November day in Ohio. The high was in the 50's and it was sunny all day. A big shout out to Rich who camped with me Saturday night even though the low was in the 30s overnight.

We had a total of 10 paddlers(and Tori, the dog) in 7 kayaks and 2 canoes. According to Ken, we went about 4.5 miles total. We were out on the water for a little over 2 hours. The reservoir is very low this year, but we still made it fairly close to Route 322 and then went down by the dam. We also saw the bald eagle's nest, but unfortunately we didn't see any eagles.

I posted some pictures from the trip.

And yes Ken, I am very glad the trip wasn't today too!
