Talking Chilly Chili Run

Mahoning River Chilly Chili Run- Canoe City

When- Sunday December 11th

Where-Canoe City Metro Park 107 N Leavitt RD, Leavittsburg OH 44430

GPS 41.241135, -80.881393

Time-11 AM

You know it is December when it is time for the umpteenth annual Chilly Chili Run.
Last chance for all you canoeist and kayakers "nuts? to get out for one last official trip before the end of the year.
We will gather at the CANOE CITY METROPARK starting around 11am and set up the area for our chili feast and get a fire going. After setup we will head up to Swift Metro park for the 3.6-mile flat water float back to Canoe City for the chili and other goodies.
Last year we had great weather with temps in the lower 60's, it is safe to say I can't promise that again.
Hope to see a good turn out for a fun event.
We will our fourth and final short meeting after the paddle.

Maybe we should have let Jessica pick a date for this event?

Default Hot Cider

I HOPE to be there, but there is still a small chance I may have to take my mother elsewhere. I will bring a gallon of hot cider with mulling bags (like tea bags) if I can make it.

Default Photos added -Ken

Well, this was a fun afternoon even though I didn't paddle. I thought it was probably more important (like the bulk of the group) to stay behind and guard the food. The snow was a nice touch although the roads for me going back home were very slippery.

I added some photos.
