Default Tionesta Creek Camping

UPDATE ! THUR APR 26 ! CANCELLED DUE TO WX! UPDATE: WED APR 25 ! CHANGE OF PLANS ! MEET TIME AT HENRY'S MILL BRIDGE IS NOW 10AM At the chili paddle, JimBo had said he was planning the Tionesta Creek camping trip for April 28 & 29. Unfortunately, JimBo has decided to part ways with TCTC. As I was hoping to do this trip, I scheduled time off from work around those dates. In light of this situation, I am now offering to lead this trip, if there are indeed others interested. This past Thursday, I took a long ride up into the forest to do some recon for the trip, and this stream truly does wind through a most serene section of the Allegheny Forest. The trip would be dependent on water level and weather. This is a primitive camping trip. I know the club has Beaver Creek planned for the 29th, but I'm somewhat set to the date because of work. If you would be interested, please reply here on the site. If you have questions, give me a call (724-601-9801) , or e-mail me at MR272@hotmail.com.

I've heard from a few more folks, and I've even been able to get Jimbo to reconsider; so he will be helping show us the way of the Tionesta valley. I will be reposting on FB pages in the next few days as well. Keep your ears open for coming details, and feel free to give me a call.

Manon and I are planning on joining the trip also, assuming there is still room.

The extended forecast is looking good. Tentative plan will be to meet at Henry's Mill Bridge along Rt 666 at 9am on Saturday (4/28) morning to drop off boats & gear. Then drivers take cars down to K-ville, and hopefully all fit into one vehicle for the shuttle back up river. Camping will be at Logans Run, as done in the past, and take-out will be Sunday (4/29) at Kelletteville.
