BC3 Class for New Kayakers

River Kayaking Participants in this class will use recreational kayaks to navigate the Mahoning and Shenango Rivers located in Lawrence County. We will be travelling on small rivers with abundant quiet water but will encounter some riffles and perhaps even some Class I rapids depending on rainfall. Participants should have some rudimentary kayaking experience such as that from our Quiet Water Kayaking class. The three hour on-river class time is approximate and participants will also have travel time as a group to/ from the put in and take out locations. Kayak, paddle, & PFD will be provided. Class limited to six participants. Must be 18 years or older to participate. Students should wear quick-drying clothes and water shoes, and bring a towel and a change of clothes.
