Default Paddle Fest Canoe City

Mahoning River Paddle Fest (not to be confused with River fest)
Hosted by Mahoning River Adventure
With assistants Trumbull County Metro Parks, Trumbull Canoe Trails, Friends of the Mahoning River & Cockeye BBQ

When-Saturday May 25th
Where- Canoe City Metro Park 75 North Leavitt Rd Leavittsburg OH,44430
(our unofficial home base)
Event Time 10am - 12pm Noon
I am asking for TCT to show up by 9/930 am to go over instructions from MO from Mahoning River Adventure

This is a first time event at canoe city, this is an opportunity for all parties to get exposure in the community and help promote paddling, Mahoning River & the Metro Parks
Mahoning River Adventure is going to allow free kayak demo with their gear for the public to try and to paddle around Canoe City from 10-12 noon.
We are being asked to have at least four boats in the water (would love to see more). The purpose is to make sure no one gets too close to the Leavittsburg Dam or paddles to far up stream. Also we can watch for safety and talk to new paddlers
Also Mahoning River Adventure is going to allow us to put up a display with our information and to talk to prospect members. I will bring my tent and table; I will also have all the information about the club to hand out and signs about the club. I will also attempt to put together a video from our past trips to play at our table.

A strong Member turn out would be great as we will have back to back public events. We need at least four paddlers and one or two members to man the table.

After the event Mahoning River Adventure is going to put together a paddle from Swift Park to Canoe City. This will be the start of their 2nd season in business. They will be renting kayaks as normal and offering shuttles to paddlers with their own gear. A normal shuttle fee is 10 per kayak and 20 per canoe.
Since TCT is helping with the event we will get a $5 discount for the shuttle if we want to paddle.

Please go to their website and use Promo code TCTmember to receive your discount.

Please register at their website
https://www.paddletheriver.com/home
-Go to the trip tab
-Pick Mahoning River
-Click on the Short trip
-Select May 25 to register for the paddle
-12:30 time- Pack the River trip
-select what you need
-click on Promo or discount and use our code
-TCTmember to receive you $5 discount

Or follow on the event on Facebook for additional details
Remember to pass the word on a great event,
Mike

Smile Paddlefest

I plan on being there for the event. I have everything loaded and ready. I tried to register using your directions but it seems there are no more spots available. Hopefully there is room or we can do our own shuttle.
Thanks!

I'm planning to be there. May not make it by 9:30 but I'll try. Have to run to Negley first first. See you at the park.
