Welcome to the club and thanks for sharing your experience. Swimming on your maiden voyage is not unusual, and the rapid beneath the Marshall Avenue Bridge seems to be forgiving once it bites you. As someone in this sport once observed, we are all in between swims. Hope to see you on a future club trip.
