Drownings on Beaver Creek
It breaks my heart to read this.
http://www.wfmj.com/story/29373169/f...e-beaver-creek I was down at there on Friday, riding my bike on the rail trail. I stopped at the dam and was amazed at how scary the recirc boil looked. Nothing but a drowning machine. This dam needs to come out. It serves absolutely no purpose. And now two people are dead. Steve Z |

Three are dead. So sad. I've always wanted my kids and now grandkids to wear their PFDs on land when they are near a river bank. But I've learned a lesson from this. I need to wear my PFD also in case I would have to go in fast after someone else. Its usually the first thing I remove when I get on shore. Perhaps not now. This is just so incredibly sad.
